Stanley Kubrick: The Exhibition

“The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent; but if we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death — however mutable man may be able to make them — our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” (Interviewed by Eric Nordern, Playboy (September 1968))

EYE Film Museum Amterdam, Exhibition from 21st of June – 9th of September. We visited last Monday. Every Kubrick movie (such as: A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dr. Strangelove, Full Metal Jacket, The Shining, Eyes Wide Shut, Lolita etc.) had its own little dark room with a massive screen where they streamed the movie over and over again.
